UP Weather: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is changing today. Due to the influence of a western disturbance, the state will experience rain for the next six days. During this time, rain and thundershowers are expected at many places.
UP Weather: Fog and cold are beginning to ease in Uttar Pradesh. People have been experiencing considerable relief for the past three days. However, the weather is about to change once again. Starting today, the effects of a western disturbance will be felt in Uttar Pradesh, bringing thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds in several districts. A hailstorm warning has been issued for 15 districts, including Agra and Mathura. The rain will also increase the cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is becoming active in Uttar Pradesh starting today, Thursday, January 22nd, and its effects will be felt in the western division. Very light to light rain is expected in some parts of the state during this period. However, dry weather is expected in Purvanchal. No specific warnings have been issued for either division.
Rain expected in Uttar Pradesh today
Partly cloudy skies and rain are forecast for Noida, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Hathras, Aligarh, Sambhal, Hapur, Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, and surrounding areas.
The rainy season will intensify in the state on Friday, with thunderstorms and showers likely at many locations in the western region. Thunderstorms, lightning, and winds of up to 40-50 kmph are expected, with heavy hailstorms also forecast at some locations, which could damage farmers’ crops. Rain and strong winds are also forecast for some locations in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Hailstorm warning in these districts
On January 23rd, a warning has been issued for thunderstorms and hailstorms accompanied by strong winds in Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Firozabad, Hathras, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Moradabad, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly, Badaun, Kasganj, Etah and surrounding districts. Heavy rain is expected in Saharanpur, Shamli, Meerut, Baghpat, Amroha, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, and Rampur.
On January 24th, light rain will occur in the eastern division. The weather will remain dry in western Uttar Pradesh. Rain will intensify slightly again on January 26th and 27th. Due to the rain, maximum and minimum temperatures will drop sharply over the next two days. During this period, the mercury will drop by 2-4 degrees, increasing the cold.
