Today (September 2) too, there is an orange alert for heavy rain in 42 districts of the state including Lucknow and Saharanpur. There is also a warning of thunder and lightning at many places.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain has again gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rain with thunderstorms has been predicted at many places in both the divisions of the state on Monday. Very heavy rain warning has been issued for 15 districts. Due to rain, the maximum temperature will decrease by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
There is an alert of rain with thunderstorms at almost all places in the western division of the state today. During this time, there is a possibility of very heavy rain at some places in the division, while in many districts of the eastern division too, there will be thunderstorms and heavy rain.
Very heavy rain warning in these districts
An orange alert for very heavy rain has been issued in almost all places of UP today including Saharanpur, Shamli, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Moradabad, Rampur, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Shahjahanpur. A warning has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning in these districts.
Heavy rain and lightning warnings have been issued at almost all places in Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Bahraich, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Sant Ravidas Nagar.
A yellow alert has been issued for rain with thunder and lightning at all places in Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Shravasti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Varanasi and Chandauli, while there will be rain at many places in Jalaun, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Lalitpur.
Rain is expected at many places in Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Deoria, Ballia, Basti, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh and Ghazipur today. No specific warning has been issued in these districts.
