UP Weather Update: A cold wave has gripped several cities in Uttar Pradesh. Nights in various districts across the state have been extremely cold. Ayodhya experienced the coldest night in the state in the past 24 hours, with a minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department predicts that this is just a preview of the cold. The cold will intensify in the coming days, with minimum temperatures expected to drop again in the next 48 hours.
According to information received from the Regional Meteorological Center in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will remain dry in both the eastern and western divisions of Uttar Pradesh on December 8th. Consequently, light to moderate fog may be observed in various districts during the morning and late night. However, the Meteorological Department has not yet issued any warning regarding fog or cold wave. It is true that dense fog with visibility down to 600 meters prevailed in several districts of the state in the past 24 hours.
The melting will increase as the evening approaches.
The IMD has predicted that on Monday, morning fog will be visible in Mathura, Aligarh, Kanpur, Agra, Etawah, Kannauj, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Kansganj, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Maharajganj, Sonbhadra, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Firozabad, Unnao, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Rampur, and Bareilly. Moderate fog with visibility of 500 to 600 meters is also likely in some districts.
The minimum temperature in Lucknow will be 11 degrees Celsius.
Light fog may be visible in the state capital, Lucknow, on Monday. As the day progresses, the sun will shine. However, cold winds will again make people feel chilly in the evening. The forecast is for the minimum temperature in Lucknow today to be around 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum around 25 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected in Noida, adjacent to Delhi.
Temperature to fall in two days
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that a new western disturbance is approaching. Therefore, it is expected that the cold will increase again in the next two days, and the minimum temperature will also drop along with the maximum. Consequently, a cold wave will affect the entire state.
