What is UPI Circle?
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched a new feature called UPI Circle. Under this, a UPI account holder can share his account with a maximum of 5 other people, so that they can also make payments from the same account.
How will this feature work?
The primary UPI user who has a bank and UPI account can create a UPI circle. People added to the circle will be able to make payments from the same UPI account. This feature is currently available on the BHIM app, soon this feature will be available in other UPI apps as well.
How to add someone to a UPI circle?
Enter the UPI ID or scan the QR code.
Users can be allowed full or partial payment delegation.
What is the difference between full and partial delegation?
Full delegation: The secondary user can make payments up to the set limit without entering a PIN.
Partial delegation: Permission of the primary user will be required for every transaction.
Why is UPI Circle special?
Helpful in sharing expenses with family, friends or office team. It will help elderly or people who are not technically active to make payments easily. It will allow many people to make payments from a single account. UPI Circle is expected to make the payment experience easier and safer.
