UPSC Result 2025 Date: Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) may soon release the result of Civil Services Prelims Exam. Candidates appearing in the exam will be able to check their result by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. This exam was conducted across the country on Sunday, May 25. It had two objective question papers, each with a duration of two hours and 200 marks. Negative marking will be applicable on wrong answers, where one-third (0.33 marks) of the question’s mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The preliminary examination is only for screening and its marks will not be included in the final merit list. This year a total of 979 posts will be filled through UPSC, which also includes vacancies for various types of disability categories. Of these, 12 posts are reserved for candidates with blindness or low vision, 7 for deaf or hard of hearing, 10 for mobility impaired, 9 for candidates with multiple disabilities including deafness-blindness, and 38 under benchmark disability.
Under this recruitment process, selection will be done for major services like Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
