US Citizenship: US President Donald Trump has launched a new immigration program for wealthy foreigners, named “Gold Card”. Under this scheme, applicants can start their way to permanent residence by paying $ 5 million (about Rs 43 crore). The long-discussed program “Gold Card” was unveiled on Wednesday through a new government website. On this website, interested persons can join the waiting list by entering their information.
Donald Trump told on Truth
It is being told that this ‘Trump Card’ comes for five million dollars, while the US President said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, “Thousands of people are asking and asking how they can sign up for a beautiful way to reach the greatest country and market in the world.”
Promoting fast-track immigration option
Trump is promoting the program as a fast-track immigration option aimed at attracting elites who want to stay in the United States and become citizens. It is being promoted as a more advanced alternative to the existing EB-5 investor visa. Trump described the Gold Card as “Green Card privileges plus”.
However, despite the buzz around the announcement, the Gold Card is still not available for purchase. According to the official website, users can currently only submit their contact information to be notified when applications open.
No instant citizenship
The message on the homepage of TrumpCard.gov reads, “Enter your information below to be notified when access opens.” Clarifying the scope of the program, Trump emphasized that the Gold Card does not grant instant citizenship. “It’s a bit like a green card, but with a higher level of sophistication. It’s a path to citizenship for people who are talented and wealthy,” Trump said.
