Vande Bharat Express has started between Jamalpur to Howrah today, 16 August 2025. This semi-high speed train was flagged off today. This new service is actually an extension of the Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, which will now also be run on the Jamalpur-Howrah route. Regular operation of the train will start from August 17.
The Jamalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will cover a total distance of 441 km in just 6 hours 35 minutes. It will be the fastest train running on this route. This train is numbered 22310/22309 and will be operated six days a week (except Friday). The train will stop at a total of 8 stations during the journey between Jamalpur and Howrah. These stations are – Bhagalpur, Barahat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Noniyat, Dumka, Rampurhat and Bolpur Shantiniketan.
Time Table
22310 Jamalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will leave Jamalpur at 3:30 pm and reach Howrah Junction at 10:05 pm.
22309 Howrah-Jamalpur Vande Bharat Express will depart from Howrah at 7:45 am and reach Jamalpur Junction at 2:15 pm.
This Vande Bharat train will have a total of 8 coaches, including 1 executive chair car (EC) and 7 chair cars (CC). A total of 590 passengers will be able to travel in the train. Of these, 44 passengers will be able to travel in EC coach and 546 passengers will be able to travel in chair car.
Fare and booking facility
The fare for chair car (CC) will be ₹1290.
The fare for executive chair car (EC) has been fixed at ₹2335.
Ticket booking for passengers has already started. Tickets can be purchased from IRCTC website, mobile app and PRS counters of railway stations.
