The Railway Ministry has approved the stoppage of Vande Bharat Express at Salona station of Bakhri. This train running between Jogbani and Danapur will stop at Salona, due to which passengers will get direct service to Patna. This step has been taken in view of the shortage of trains on the Samastipur-Saharsa rail section. This will provide a lot of convenience to the passengers.

Years old demand for direct train service to Patna fulfilled:
For years there was a demand to provide direct train service to Patna on Samastipur-Khagaria rail section. Especially after the construction of Saluna station of Bakhri subdivision headquarters under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, this demand intensified. Meanwhile, after the announcement of the operation of Jogbani Danapur Vande Bharat Express train on this section, the hopes of the people here became stronger.
Rail Yatri Sangh Saluna and Rail Yatri Sangharsh Samiti intensified efforts to stop the said train at Saluna. MLA Suryakant Paswan and Saluna Rail Yatri Sangh President Rajesh Agarwal wrote separate letters to the Railway Minister of Government of India Ashwini Vaishnav demanding stoppage of Vande Bharat Express train at Saluna.
Rail Yatri Sangharsh Samiti ran a signature campaign and sent it to the Railway Ministry. For the stoppage of the train, President of Rail Yatri Sangh Rajesh Agarwal reached Delhi Railway Ministry and camped there and started efforts. Apart from these, Vikas Verma, Kumari Sangeeta Rai, Sidhesh Arya, Sanjay Salil, Jaydev Sanyal etc. of Rail Yatri Sangharsh Samiti have also expressed happiness over the announcement of the stoppage of the train.
Travelling from Samastipur to Saharsa became easy:
There has always been a lack of trains on the Samastipur-Saharsa rail section. There is a difference of four to five hours between the running time of one train and another. There is a direct train from Samastipur to Saharsa at 10.10 after 6.5 pm. Due to this, the workers coming from Delhi, Punjab etc. in the evening had to face a lot of trouble.
Meanwhile, the operation of Vande Bharat Express train at 7.43 pm will provide a lot of convenience to these passengers and their wait will end.
