Vande Bharat Sleeper: A great news has come for those traveling by Indian Railways. Now Vande Bharat Express can be enjoyed not only in daylight but also in night travel. The Railway Ministry has announced that a plan has been made to start 10 Vande Bharat Sleeper trains across the country in the financial year 2025-26.
When and how will Vande Bharat start?
According to the report of ET Now, a senior official of the Ministry of Railways said that the responsibility of making these trains has been given to BEML company and there is a plan to put them on the tracks by the end of this year. However, the final seal will be put by the Railway Board. The ministry wants these trains to be world class in terms of technology and convenience and passengers should not feel any kind of shortage.
On which route will Vande Bharat Sleeper run?
Although the railways have not yet formally announced the routes of these trains, it is being estimated that these sleeper Vande Bharat trains can be run on the busiest and long distance routes of the country. It is possible that these trains will be seen on routes like New Delhi-Howrah, Sealdah-New Delhi, New Delhi-Pune, New Delhi-Mumbai and New Delhi-Secunderabad.
Who is making Vande Bharat Sleeper?
The manufacturing of these modern trains has been entrusted to three big companies, which include BEML, Kinect Railway Solutions Limited and Titagarh Rail Systems Limited-BHEL Consortium. In total, these companies will manufacture 210 train sets.
What will be the special features of Vande Bharat Sleeper?
The new Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will not only be great in looks, but their interiors will also give a premium feel to the passengers. These trains will be made of austenitic stainless steel and advanced crash-safety technology will be used in them. Each train will have 16 coaches, with seating and sleeping arrangements for a total of 823 passengers. The coaches will have categories of First AC, Second AC and Third AC. If everything goes according to plan, then soon Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will become a reality and will give a new level to the country’s rail travel.
