The only difference is that the number of UID digits in the Aadhaar card is 12 and the UID number of houses will have 17 digits. 39 thousand houses have got their identity so far
After the mandate that came three months ago in Varanasi Municipal Corporation, this big initiative has started. So far, a unique identification number of 39000 buildings has been issued. Talking about Varanasi, the total number of buildings here is 2 lakh 72 thousand. Officials say that this UID of buildings will be recognized as an identity in all places like Aadhaar and all departments will follow this UID.
Here, Varanasi Municipal Corporation Chief Tax Assessing Officer PK Dwivedi said that about three months ago, the Uttar Pradesh government issued a mandate to give unique identification for the buildings of all local municipal bodies, municipalities and nagar panchayats. In this context, the Municipal Corporation Varanasi has taken the initiative to give unique ID to all the buildings along the border line and on the website of the Municipal Corporation, we have issued unique ID to 39000 buildings.
Praising this, Councilor Dinesh Yadav said that the government’s intention is to digitalize everything. Earlier house numbers could not be known from the house whether the house is residential or commercial. At the same time, Councilor Sunil Sonkar said that now it will be quite easy to pay tax.
