Delhi Blast CCTV Footage: CCTV footage of the massive car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort surfaced on Wednesday. The video captures the horror of the attack. Recorded by a camera installed at the Red Fort crossing at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, a large fireball suddenly engulfs the entire screen amid busy traffic. The scene, resembling a “red balloon bursting,” immediately creates panic and chaos in the area, with people running for their lives.
Horrifying Scene of the Explosion
The CCTV clip shows a busy road near a metro station, where traffic is moving slowly, when suddenly a large explosion and a fireball erupt. The Hyundai i20 car that exploded was reportedly driven by Dr. Umar Nabi. Nabi was also associated with Faridabad’s Al Falah University and is believed to have been killed in the blast.
According to NDTV, the I-20 car was packed with a powerful explosive called ANFO (ammonium nitrate and fuel oil). It is suspected that the bomb was detonated manually using a trigger, suggesting a possible suicide attack. Samples collected revealed that high-grade explosives were used in the blast, one of which is believed to be even more powerful than ammonium nitrate.
