Important revelations are coming out from the police investigation in the Nikki murder case. Investigation of Kanchan’s mobile revealed that the video of setting Nikki on fire was recorded at 5:45, meaning the incident must have happened around 5:44. The police is now trying to find out the truth from CCTV and CDR. The police also know that a case of assault and exploitation is already registered against Nikki’s husband Vipin.
Every day new links are being added to the much talked about Nikki murder case of Greater Noida. During the investigation, the police searched the mobile of Nikki’s sister Kanchan and took her statement. This revealed many important information.
Kanchan has stated that the video of the fight that has gone viral on social media is of 11 February. Whereas the incident of Nikki getting burnt is being said to be of 21 August. Investigation of the mobile made it clear that the video of the fire was recorded at 5:45 pm. From this, it was estimated that Nikki must have got burnt at 5:44 pm.
Important timing obtained from the mobile
On checking Kanchan’s phone, the police found that the video was shot at 5:45. This clearly means that the time of the fire must have been a few seconds before this. Now, on the basis of this timing, the police is trying to find out through the surrounding CCTV footage, mobile call detail records (CDR) and location who was present in the house during the incident and what was their activity. The investigating officer believes that with this timing, the sequence of events of the entire story can be revealed more clearly.
A case was already registered against Vipin
The criminal history of Vipin, who has been made an accused in this entire case, is also slowly coming to the fore. According to the information, in October 2024, a girl had lodged an FIR against Vipin in Jarcha police station of Noida. In that complaint, allegations of assault and exploitation were made. Sources say that at that time Vipin and that girl were having an affair. Nikki and her sister had once caught both of them red-handed. After this the dispute had increased. To suppress the matter, Vipin had beaten up that girl. On that basis, the girl had lodged an FIR against Vipin. This background can become an important basis for the police in the investigation.
Lied in the hospital too
On the day of the incident, i.e. 21st August, Nikki was taken to Fortis Hospital in a critical condition. The initial report of the hospital stated that the cause of burning was the explosion of a gas cylinder. But when the police investigated the spot, no evidence of cylinder explosion was found. On the contrary, a bottle of thinner and a lighter were recovered from the spot.
Now the police is trying to find out on what basis the cylinder explosion was mentioned in the hospital report. For this, statements of doctors and medical staff will be recorded. Also, the CCTV footage of the hospital will also be seized, so that it can be clear who brought Nikki to the hospital and who all were present there at that time.
The scope of police investigation has increased
The police is now engaged in connecting every aspect of the incident in a systematic manner. First of all, CCTV and call details will be investigated based on the timing of the video found on the mobile. On the other hand, by interrogating the doctor and staff of Fortis Hospital, it will be ascertained why and how the cylinder explosion was mentioned in the report. Along with this, the police is also investigating who took Nikki to the hospital, Devendra, mother-in-law and father-in-law or someone else? The CCTV of the hospital can prove to be the most important evidence to solve this mystery.
Layers of old dispute
Investigating officers believe that the dispute between Vipin and Nikki was going on for a long time. The FIR lodged against Vipin earlier testifies that his behavior has been violent. On the other hand, the news of the affair and the controversy related to it had further deteriorated this relationship. According to sources, the atmosphere in the house became tense ever since Nikki and Kanchan caught Vipin and the other girl. Nikki had expressed concern about her safety and future many times.
