A woman in Thailand startled temple staff when she began moving inside her coffin just before her funeral. The incident occurred at Wat Rat Prakhong Tham, a Buddhist temple in Nonthaburi province, near Bangkok. A video posted by the temple on Facebook shows the 65-year-old woman lying in a white coffin in the back of a pickup truck.

Parat said, “I was a little shocked and asked to open the coffin. Everyone was scared. I saw her slightly opening her eyes and tapping the coffin wall. She must have been doing this for quite some time.”
The woman’s brother said she had been bedridden for two years and her health had been steadily deteriorating. Two days ago, the family thought she had stopped breathing. Believing her to be dead, the brother placed her in the coffin and took her 500 kilometers to a hospital in Bangkok, where the woman wanted to donate her organs.

But the hospital refused to accept the organ donation without a death certificate.
The brother then brought the woman to the temple for a free funeral, but the temple also could not perform the last rites without the necessary documents.
Meanwhile, while Parat was explaining the process of obtaining a death certificate, the staff heard a knocking sound coming from the coffin.
The temple immediately sent the woman to a nearby hospital and decided to cover the entire cost of her treatment.
