Virat Kohli Test Retirement: Indian cricket’s legendary batsman and former captain Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket today on 12 May. Kohli informed about his decision through an emotional social media post. Virat Kohli informed about this decision on his Instagram account. He wrote, “Today it has been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. To be honest, I never imagined where this journey would take me. This format tested me, shaped me and taught me lessons that I will remember for a lifetime.

” Kohli further said, “Playing in the white dress is something special. It is a struggle full of peace, long days, small moments that no one sees but they stay with you forever. Now that I am leaving this format, it is not easy – but it feels right. I have given it my all, and it has given me more than I could have ever imagined.

” He said, “I am grateful to this game, to the people I shared the field with, and to everyone who watched and supported me on this journey. I will always remember my Test career with a smile. #269, signing off.” Let us tell you that 269 is the number of Virat Kohli’s Test cap.
