Delhi water supply cut: Important news for residents of the capital Delhi. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that water supply will be disrupted in several areas of the city for 48 hours starting February 25th. This disruption will be due to technical work. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to make advance water arrangements. According to the DJB, water supply will be cut off from 11 am on February 25th to 11 am on February 27th. This means that regular water supply will be disrupted in these areas for two full days. The board has stated that water tankers will be made available if needed during this period. Phone numbers for various water centers have also been released so that people can contact them in times of need.

Why will the water supply be disrupted?

This work is related to the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in the Bhagya Vihar area. The old 1500 mm diameter raw water pipeline will be connected and disconnected from the new 1500 mm diameter twin pipeline. This interconnection process will temporarily disrupt water supply.

Which areas will be affected?

This disruption will be particularly felt in Dwarka and surrounding areas. Major areas where water supply will be affected include Dwarka Sub City, Mahavir Enclave, Vijay Enclave, Uttam Nagar colonies, Pochanpur, Bharthal, Ambrahi Village, Madhu Vihar, Sagar Pur, Kailash Puri, Durga Park, and Mangla Puri.

Apart from this, water supply will also be affected in Raj Nagar Phase I and II, Bagdola Village, Bijwasan, Dhulsiras, Bindapur, Sewak Park, Bharat Vihar, Sita Puri, Raja Puri, Jeevan Park, Indra Park, Milap Nagar, Chanakya Place, Arjun Park, Laxmi Vihar, Bajrang Enclave, Maqsoodabad, Naya Bazaar, Vijay Park and Sai Baba Enclave.

Nangli Sakrawati village and its extension, Rana Ji Enclave, Shyam Vihar, Dharampura, Roshanpura, Deenpur village, Matiala, Palam, Vishwas Park, Sadh Nagar Part I and II, Nanhe Park, Bamnoli village, Shahabad Mohammadpur village, Kapashera village, IGI Airport and ICCC (Yashobhoomi), Najafgarh Town and surrounding areas are also included in the list.

The DJB has urged residents not to panic, but to take necessary precautions. Store enough water for two days and use it judiciously to avoid any problems.
