A trough extends from interior Tamil Nadu through interior Karnataka and Vidarbha to the cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh.

A cyclonic circulation extends up to 1.5 km over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Himalayan region from April 3.

Weather disturbances across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred over Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.

Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred over Northeast India, West Bengal, Lakshadweep and Southeast Madhya Pradesh.

Light rain occurred over Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Karnataka.

Sporadic hailstorm occurred in East Madhya Pradesh.

Possible weather activity during the next 24 hours

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snowfall with lightning may occur over Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

On March 31, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls may occur over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.

Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning may occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
