The weather is forecast to remain dry for the next few days in most parts of the country including North India. However, a new western disturbance is expected to become active from March 9 and bring about a change in the weather in the western Himalayan regions. Western disturbances bring moisture from the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Weather Update: Cold surface winds are blowing at high speed in the plains of North-West India, due to which cold has increased again in many states including Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, these winds will continue here for the next two days.
Cold winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour in Delhi for the next two to three days
Strong surface winds are expected to blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour in the country’s capital for the next two to three days. During the morning, the winds will blow from the northwest direction at a speed of 12 to 14 km per hour, which will increase to 22 to 24 km per hour by noon. The maximum temperature in Delhi is forecast to be around 26 degrees and the minimum temperature around 13 degrees Celsius.
Hot and cold winds blow due to the uneven distribution of the sun’s energy on the earth. Hot air blows in the parts where the sun’s rays fall directly and cold air blows in the parts where the rays fall obliquely. Since the sun’s rays are falling obliquely in western North India at this time, cold winds are blowing.
