Schedule call feature: Now users can schedule group calls on WhatsApp. This means that a user can send a notification in advance for a video call to any of his contacts or an entire group. You can also add them to your personal calendar or share them with others.
Raise Hand Features: The company has brought Raise Hand features or in-call interaction for group calls. Anyone can use this feature to say their point during a group call. For example, if anyone wants to say something, they will be able to react through this. This is exactly like the Raise Hand feature available in group calls on MS Teams.
New call management: Along with these two features, the company has also updated the calls tab. Now it will have a clear view of upcoming calls, list of people attending the call and shareable call links. Along with this, whenever someone attends the call from the shared link, the caller will get its notification.
How to use the new feature?
Scheduling a call on WhatsApp has now become very easy. For this, first of all you have to open the app and go to the Calls tab. Here a + icon will appear on the top on the right side, tap on it. After this, along with the call link option, you will also get the option of scheduled call. On which you have to click. Then on selecting the schedule call, your name will appear at the top, so that the other person will know who has scheduled the call. Below you will also get the option to add a description. Then you have to select the time of starting and ending the call. After this, decide whether you want to make a video call or a voice call.
Then tap on the Next button given on the top right side. By doing this, your contact list will open, from where you can choose a group or a single number if you want. As soon as the call is scheduled, that contact will get a message notification. It will have a Join Call button, by clicking on which the other person will be able to join the call at the scheduled time.
