WhatsApp New Feature: In the internet world, our privacy is often just a wrong click away. Imagine uploading a photo or video from a trip with friends to your WhatsApp status, only to realize the next moment that your privacy settings were set to “Everyone”! The fear of your office boss or family member seeing your status often forces us to immediately hit the Delete button. But that won’t happen anymore.
WhatsApp New Feature: Has it ever happened to you that you posted a photo or video as your status on WhatsApp and then immediately got worried thinking that your office boss or some unwanted relative might have seen it? Most of us delete the status immediately in such a situation. Now WhatsApp is preparing to solve this problem of the users. The company is bringing such a magical Audience button that even after posting the status, you will be able to confirm who will be able to see it.
WhatsApp continues to introduce new features to improve its users’ experience. In this vein, WhatsApp is now testing a feature that allows you to review your status’ privacy settings even after posting it. Wabetainfo, which tracks WhatsApp’s latest updates, shared information about this feature on social media.
Will there be an edit option?
According to a report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow you to review your status’s privacy settings even after posting it. Currently, if you upload a status with the wrong privacy settings, there’s no option other than deleting it. However, with this update, a new option will be available in the Viewers sheet. When you open the list of people who have viewed your status, you’ll see an Audience option. Some users are also hoping that the edit option may also be available in this panel.

If you’ve mentioned someone in your status, you’ll find their information on this panel. This panel also shows whether you’ve given others permission to share your status.
Who will receive this update now?
This feature is currently rolling out to beta testers on Android and iOS. Once testing is complete, it may be rolled out to all users soon. The primary purpose of this new update is to prevent personal or sensitive information from being exposed to the wrong people.
