1. Keep these basics in mind

The most important and important thing is that you do not have to share your banking password, IPIN and username with anyone. Especially, if any unknown person contacts you through WhatsApp, do not reply to him. Apart from this, if any unknown person shares a link to you, then do not open it.

2. Do not tell the bank details and OTP at all

Never share your bank details with anyone. If someone asks for a debit card, credit card PIN and Internet banking password, never share it. You should never share your OTP on WhatsApp, no matter how small the amount is. Cyber experts say that OTP should only be put in front of their eyes.

3. Do not download media files from the new number

If a media file has come from a new number, never download it. It can also be a virus in that file, which can cause your account to be hacked. Make distance from the unknown phone number in the same way that you create with the corona virus.

4. Don’t forget to delete the data

Disable the auto download in your phone. By going into the settings of WhatsApp and changing the settings by going to data and storage usage, no file will be downloaded automatically. Make sure that you delete the entire data of WhatsApp from your phone. If you lose your phone, or if you want to sell it, then delete the entire data.

5. Do not use public Wi-Fi

Do not use unknown or public Wi-Fi in the free internet affair. Avoid this, because it increases the chance of hacking. Many times hackers can hack your phone online with Wi-Fi. Avoid using WhatsApp on public Wi-Fi networks. Mobile data plan is very cheap now, so it is better to use your own mobile data.

6. What to do if the phone is lost or stolen

If your phone is lost or stolen, apart from filing a report, first of all, deactivate your WhatsApp account. For this, you can email support@whatsapp.com or login to WhatsApp from another phone, then delete or deactivate WhatsApp. Keeping these things in mind, your personal confidential data is saved and your bank account is hacked.
