WhatsApp Tips: In this digital age, WhatsApp is a staple in our daily communication. But sometimes, when someone doesn’t reply or their profile doesn’t appear, you might wonder, “Have you blocked me?” It’s hard to tell for sure since WhatsApp doesn’t give a direct alert. However, you can easily find out with a few simple tips.

Missing ‘Last Seen’ or Online Status: If someone has blocked you, you won’t be able to see their ‘Last Seen’ or ‘Online’ status. If it doesn’t appear no matter how many times you check, this could be a sign. But some users hide ‘Last Seen’ in their privacy settings. So this is just the first sign.

Profile photo missing or not changing: When blocked, only a blank gray icon appears instead of their profile photo. Even if they change the photo, you won’t be able to see it. If their DP suddenly disappears, this is another strong indication.

WhatsApp calls not connecting: If you make a WhatsApp call and the call is not connecting or getting disconnected, it is also a sign that the person is blocked. Especially if the person is online, the call will not connect. However, sometimes, this problem can also occur due to network issues. So remember that just because the call is not connecting, it does not mean that the person is blocked.

Messages showing only one tick: This is a clear sign. Typically, one tick means the message has been sent. Two gray ticks mean the message has been delivered. Two blue ticks mean the message has been read. When blocked, the second tick will not appear because your message will not reach their device.

If someone has blocked you, there is no need to worry. Blocking is their personal privacy choice. Sometimes it is temporary, or it may be due to a change in privacy settings. So don’t take it personally. Respect their privacy. If necessary, you can use other means such as SMS, email, or talking directly.

However, it is not possible to know for sure if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp. But you can get an idea based on signs like no ‘last seen’, no profile photo, no ticked message, and calls not connecting.
