In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has announced to increase the MSAP of Rabi crop by fifty rupees quintal. With this, wheat procurement in the state will now be Rs. 1975 per quintal. Millions of farmers will get the benefit of this increase. This decision has been taken at the time when the farmers are agitating with the enactment of the MSP law and the demand to repeal the agricultural law implemented by the Center.

As per the order issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the MSP for the purchase of wheat for the Rabi crop in Uttar Pradesh has been increased to Rs. 1975. Uttar Pradesh has the highest yield of wheat. Millions of farmers will get the benefit of this increased rate.
Government has said to increase MSP
It was already announced to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 6 rabi crops, including wheat. The Modi government at the Center wants to reassure farmers about MSP. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has already said in the Lok Sabha that the minimum support price of wheat has been increased by Rs 50 to Rs 1,975 per quintal. This increase was decided in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
