There are many such Bollywood beauties including Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Ileana D’Cruz, who were made fun of on social media about their weight. Now, Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri has also broken her silence on fat shaming due to increased weight.
Nargis Fakhri recently talked about body shaming in an interview with Hindustan Times and you narrated the past. Speaking on the matter, Nargis said, “I definitely had to face body shaming for a short period of time.” According to Nargis, there is a pressure on celebs regarding weight, because people want to see them in a certain shape.
Nargis further says- ‘Everyone cannot be good on every occasion, because everyone has different opinion.’ Talking about people’s expectations related to them, she tells that when she first came to India, that Time was very thin. During this, everyone used to tell her to gain weight. On being naturally skinny, Nargis told that when her weight increased by 50 pounds, people started calling her pregnant.
Frustrated with the trolling over the increased weight, Nargis said that at one point all this started affecting her and she did not find it funny at all. Nargis says that she has started working on reducing her weight and has also managed to lose 40 pounds. On the work front, Nargis was last seen in the 2020 film Torbaaz.
