The government had launched LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana some time back. This scheme gives women an opportunity to earn up to Rs 7,000 every month. To apply for this scheme, the age should be between 18 years to 70 years.
Last year, the government launched LIC’s Bima Sakhi Scheme with the aim of making the women of the country self-reliant. This scheme also gives an opportunity to 10th pass women to earn. Through this, they can earn up to Rs 7,000 every month. However, to apply for this scheme, the age should be between 18 years to 70 years.
What is LIC’s Bima Sakhi Scheme?
Under this scheme, 10th pass women will be given special training to become LIC agents. The government plans to prepare 2 lakh Bima Sakhis from across the country in 3 years. Trained Bima Sakhi-women will be given stipend for the first 3 years. After completing the training, women can work as LIC agents. On graduation, there will be an opportunity to become a Development Officer in LIC.
Earning will be made every month during training
The Bima Sakhi trained from across the country will be given a stipend during the training. In the first year, the woman will be given Rs 7,000 per month. In the second year, Rs 6,000 will be given per month and in the third year, Rs 5,000 will be given per month. In this way, women will earn more than Rs 2 lakh in 3 years. Apart from this, they can also increase their income through commission.
Terms for application
Only women can apply for the Bima Sakhi scheme. To apply, they must have a matriculation/high school/10th pass certificate. Women between 18 and 70 years of age can take advantage of the scheme. Eligible women will be given three years of training by the government. After training, women will work as insurance agents.
