UP Scholarship: In a major decision, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has announced an increase in the amount of scholarships awarded to students. Furthermore, a decision has been made to increase the family income limit.
UP Scholarship: Before Holi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a significant gift to students. The Yogi government has announced an increase in scholarship amounts for classes 9th and 10th. Students from backward classes will now receive a scholarship of ₹3,000. It is reported that 3.8 million students in the state will benefit from this significant scheme. Minister Narendra Kashyap, crediting CM Yogi Adityanath for this decision. In addition to OBC students, a ₹1,500 allowance has also been announced for persons with disabilities. The income limit for this has been raised to ₹2.5 lakh.
How much scholarship was previously available?
OBC students in classes 9th and 10th in UP previously received a scholarship of ₹2,250, which has now been increased to ₹3,000, representing an increase of ₹750. Now, OBC students will receive the same scholarship as SC students. Because the family income limit has also been increased, the scope of this scheme has expanded, and millions of students will benefit from it.
When is the amount disbursed?
In Uttar Pradesh, scholarships used to be disbursed to students in March, but now the process begins on September 25th. Nearly 2 million students have benefited from this scholarship scheme so far. This scheme was launched by the government to provide financial assistance to poor students, and changes have now been made.
