The draft population policy was presented before the Chief Minister. Under the policy, access to contraceptive measures issued under the family planning program will be increased for the period 2021-30. There will be proper arrangement for safe abortion. In the course of awareness efforts, he also directed to set up health clubs in schools. Along with this, according to the spirit of the Digital Health Mission, arrangements have also been made for digital tracking of newborns, adolescents and old people.

He said that while preparing the new policy, efforts should be made to maintain the demographic balance in all the communities.
