If you have an account with the State Bank of India (SBI), then here we are telling you about five ways to do a balance check.
It is important to have the correct balance information in your savings account. For example, before issuing a check for payment or swiping a debit card for purchases, one should know whether the account is in balance or not. This can prevent check bouncing charges or transaction declines.
If you have an account with the State Bank of India (SBI), then here we are telling you about five ways to do a balance check. SBI has abolished the imperative of maintaining a minimum balance in a savings account. One of the simplest way to check balance
1-NetBanking facility is to
log in to your account through ABI NetBanking facility. You can login by going to www.onlinesbi.com by entering the user ID and password in your account.
Once the account is logged in, a webpage will open. In it, your bank account number, branch name and hyperlinks available for balance and transactions will be shown.
To check the balance in your savings bank account, click on ‘Click Hair for Balance’.
2-Call the toll-free number.
If you do not have NetBanking facility or if you are unable to use it, then the balance can also be checked by calling the toll-free number. For this, you have to call 1800-11-2211 or 1800-425-3800. Then follow the instructions mentioned to know the account balance. Remember that you should call from your registered mobile number to use this facility.
3-With the help of 3-SBI ATM,
you can go to the nearest SBI ATM to check the balance in your SBI Savings Account. If you are checking your bank balance through ATM then an SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number. This SMS is sent to provide information. This facility was introduced so that the customer knows that he is going to start such a transaction.
4-If you have taken SBI Mobile banking services through mobile banking, then you can use this facility to check the balance in your account. To use mobile banking service, you will need to download the mobile banking app of the bank.
After successfully logging in to your account, select ‘Inquiry Services’ from the main menu. Under ‘Inquiry Services’, click on ‘Balance Inquiry’ and enter MPIN. Select ‘Confirm’ by pressing the ‘Menu’ button.
Through 5-Miss Call Service
You can also check the savings account balance by using the missed call service of SBI Customer Bank. Using this facility, apart from checking the account balance, you can get a mini statement. One can also get home loan interest certificate and other services.
For this service, you will have to register according to the bank’s website. After registering for this service, you can send SMS on 09223766666 by miss call or typing ‘BAL’.
Charges for balance checks
SBI does not charge any charges for carrying out balance checks using any of these services. However, in the case of ATM service, the number of free non-financial transactions is fixed in the month.
