E-based to e-Aadhaar you can put in your mobile. For this you do not need to keep a hard copy of Aadhaar. You can download the e-Aadhaar from the UIDAI website, as well as you can print it out and use it as any scheme or government identity card anywhere.

Aadhaar letter is sent by UIDAI. This is the Aadhaar card which till now used to come to your house via post. This Aadhar card was not known to the consumer at the right time due to delay in postage. Therefore, UIDAI allows citizens to download soft copy of Aadhaar card.
