125 Rupee Coin- Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a special coin of Rs 125 on 1st September.

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released a special commemorative coin of Rs 125 on Wednesday, 1 September. He has issued this coin on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Sri Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Let us tell you that ISKCON is also known as Hare Krishna movement.

PM Modi has released this commemorative coin through video conferencing. After which the Prime Minister described Swami Prabhupada as a supernatural devotee of Krishna and said that he was also a great patriot.

Know who is Swami Prabhupada?

Swami Prabhupada is known for the establishment of the ISKCON temple spread across the world. Swami Prabhupada was born on 1 September 1896 in Kolkata. He founded ISKCON to deliver the message of Lord Shri Krishna. ISKON is also called the International Society for Krishna Consciouness and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The hymns of this temple, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, are also sung by foreigners with full devotion. ISKCON has translated Bhagavad Gita and Vedic literature into 89 languages.

It is operated by the Securities Printing and Currency Manufacturing Corporation of India.
