2 Ways To Retrieve Your Lost Aadhaar Enrollment ID

Aadhaar biometric program is administered by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) which enables you to recover your missed Enrolment ID. An EID is a unique identification number provided at the time of enrollment for an Aadhaar card to all Aadhaar enrollees. The specific number is used to monitor the submission of an Aadhaar. Through visiting the UIDAI website, uidai.gov.in, or via the mobile app mAadhaar, users can recover a lost EID or an Aadhaar number online. To understand how you can recover a lost Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID using the UIDAI website, follow the steps below.    

Via UIDAI

  • Visit the official site of UIDAI and click on any of the options: “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID” or “Aadhaar number (UID)”. 
  • Fill all the required details completely and correctly
  • Now click on “Send OTP”
  • Now you will get a one-time passcode on your mobile number that is linked with Aadhaar.
  • Authenticate the OTP on the next page, and you will get the Aadhaar Unique Identity Number on your registered mobile number instantly.

Via mAadhaar mobile app

  • Open the mAadhaar mobile app on your handset and tap on the ‘Retrieve EID/UID’ option
  • Fill all the required details completely and correctly
  • Now tap on ‘Request OTP’ and authenticate the same on the next page.’
  • On the next page, the mAadhaar app displays the enrolment ID or Aadhaar number after effective submission.
