5G testing is going to start in these cities of India, telecom department has given approval, smartphone users will get service soon

The telecom department has clearly said that they have kept Chinese vendors away from trials, which means that Huawei will not be able to participate in this 5G trials.

The Department of Telecommunication and the Government of India have given permission to 5G trials to telecom service providers. The operators who have received this permission include Bharti Airtel, Reliance, Jio, Vodafone Idea and MTNL. These telecom service providers have partnered with original equipment manufacturers and technology providers ie Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and C-DOT. At the same time, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited will test its trials with its own technology.

The telecom department has clearly stated that they have kept Chinese vendors away from trials, which means that Huawei will not be able to participate in this 5G trials. This news has come at a time when there is a lot of emphasis on 5G in the whole country. Every company has been talking about 5G for some time, but everyone was waiting for the government’s order.

Reliance Jio has already confirmed that they will develop an indigenous 5G network. Jio’s 5G network will be developed in India itself and it will be fully focused on Made in India and self dependent India. At the same time, Airtel had confirmed a successful 5G testing on commercial network in Hyderabad and said that their network is 5G ready and only waiting for permission.

Let us know that, currently the period of trials is for a period of 6 months. In this, 2 months have been given for the purchase and installation of equipment. It has been clearly stated in the permission that every telecom company will have to test in rural and semi-urban settings in addition to urban settings, so that 5G technology benefits across the country and it is not limited to urban areas only. Ho.

Testing spectrum is offered in different bands, including mid-band (3.2 GHz to 3.67 GHz), millimeter wave bands (24.25 GHz to 28.5 GHz) and sub-GHz bands (700 GHz). Telecom companies will also be allowed to use their existing spectrum (800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2500 MHz) to operate 5G testing here.

5G service already exists in these cities of the world
Most of the phones launched in the last 12 months have talked about 5G connectivity which is an important feature on the spec sheet. Affordable Android phones are now 5G ready and are waiting for users to use them. The Government of India is emphasizing on making India a global manufacturing hub with its Make in India campaign. According to data from last year’s network testing provider VIAVI, 5G networks were available in 378 cities in 34 countries, and have increased since then. By that time, 5G service is already present in 85 cities in South Korea, 57 cities in China, 50 in the US and 31 cities in the UK, so India needs to accelerate this.
