7th Pay Commission: Big News About DA To Government Employees

New Delhi: The Central Government Employees Are Eagerly Waiting For The Payment Of Outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA). However, Now The News Is Coming That The Central Government Employees (CGS) Representative Body And The Department Of Personnel And Training (DoPT) Of The Central Government Officers Of The Ministry Of Finance Will Have To Wait Longer.




The Rescheduled 7th Pay Commission DA Installment For The Last Week Of May 2021 Is Still Not Negotiated. According To The National Council Of JCM, The Meeting Will Now Take Place In June As The Payment Of Three Installments Of DA Could Not Be Negotiated Due To The COVID-19 Restrictions Imposed In New Delhi.

Central Government Employees Will Get A Boost In Their 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix, As Three Installments Of DA Payable From January 1, 2020, Have Been Withheld By The Central Government Till June 30, 2021.

Speaking On The Proposed Meeting On Payment Of DA Arrears For Central Government Employees, Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary – Staff Side, National Council Of JCM Said, “Scheduled Meeting Between The Officials Of Ministry Of Finance, DoPT And Representatives Of National Council For COVID In Delhi. It Is Now Expected To Take Place From The Second To Third Week Of June 2021 To Discuss The Payment Of DA Dues Due To The -19 Lockdown.

Shiv Gopal Mishra Of The National Council Of JCM Said That The Delay In Meeting For DA Installment Payment Should Not Be Taken As A Negative Development, As Central Government Officials Are Quite Cooperative On Payment Of DA Dues Of CGS. In Fact, The National Council Of JCM Is Also Ready To Find Some Middle Ground For The Payment Of DA Dues And The JCM Has Suggested The Representatives Of The Central Government To Pay Three Installments For The Center To Pay Rs.

The Proposed Meeting Between Central Government Bodies And The National Council Of JCMs Was Initially Scheduled For 8 May 2021, But Due To The Outbreak Of The Second Wave Of COVID-19 In The National Capital, The Meeting Was Canceled And It Was Decided That It Will Be Done In The Last Week Of May 2021. But, The Next Date Of The Meeting Could Not Be Finalized Due To Prolonged COVID-19 Restrictions. As COVID Restrictions Are Being Eased In The National Capital With Unlocked Activities, The National Council Of JCM Is Confident That The Meeting Will Be Held From The Second To Third Week Of June 2021.

7th CPC Pay Matrix: DA Restoration
The Central Government Has Announced To Restore DA From July 1, 2021, But There Has Been No Official Announcement Regarding The Payment Of Three Installments Of DA. Central Government Employees Were Expecting That The Restoration Of DA Will Also Bring DA Arrears And Hence They Are Upset And The CGS Body Is Busy In Finding The Right Solution For CGS On DA Arrears Payment.
