7th Pay Commission: Grants to lakhs of government employees, direct impact on pockets

7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Government Employees: Relief on Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees. According to the Finance Ministry, the beneficiaries will get full benefit of DA from July 1. Payment of the pending three installments of DA will commence from July 1, 2021.

7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Government Employees: Important decisions have been taken recently for central employees and some state government personnel amid the Corona crisis. These decisions are having an impact on the employees’ pockets. Apart from the more than 50 lakh employees of the center, workers from Tripura and Telangana are benefiting.

Central Government employees have been given relief on dearness allowance (DA). According to the Finance Ministry, the beneficiaries will get full benefit of DA from July 1. Payment of the pending three installments of DA will commence from July 1, 2021. The dearness allowance of employees has been held up since last year due to the Corona crisis.




At the same time, government employees can now take advantage of the old pension scheme till 31 May 2021, bypassing the National Pension System. The Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare has given this information through a notification.

At the same time, the Center has increased the family pension limit from Rs 45 thousand to Rs 1.25 lakh per month. Pension and Pension Welfare Department has issued instructions regarding pension of those children / siblings of deceased government servant / pensioner.

After granting DA relief to the central government, the Tripura government also announced an increase in the DA of personnel and pensioners from 1 March 2021. There is a 3 per cent increase in DA for employees as well as pensioners. At the same time, in Telangana, a 30% increase in the salary of the employees has been announced. With this, it has been announced to increase the retirement age of government employees to 61 years.
