There may be a bumper increase in the salary of central employees (CG employees) in the year 2022. According to sources, the fitment factor of central and state employees can be increased at the beginning of the year. With the increase in fitment, the minimum wages of central employees will increase.

May be considered before budget

Let us tell you, there has been a long-standing demand of the central and state employees that their fitment factor should be increased from 2.57 percent to 3.68 percent. According to sources, the fitment factor of central employees can be decided before the budget to be presented on February 1, 2022.

May be included in the budget draft

If sources are to be believed, then the fitment factor of central employees can get approval from the Union Cabinet. After the approval of the cabinet before the budget, it can be included in the expenditure of the budget. However, after the approval of the cabinet, there is no special need to include it in the budget (Budget 2022) draft. But, it can be included as the details of expenses to be incurred in the coming days.

Salary will increase by Rs 8000

If there is an announcement regarding the fitment factor of central employees, then their salary will also increase. In fact, with the increase in fitment factor, the minimum wage will also increase. Employees are currently getting salary under fitment factor on the basis of 2.57 percent fitment factor. Now it can be increased to 3.68 percent. If this happens, then there will be an increase of 8 thousand rupees in the minimum salary of the employees. This means that till now it is Rs 18000, it will increase to Rs 26000.

More emphasis on increasing the fitment factor not 3.68

According to sources, the government is not in favor of increasing the minimum salary under 7th CPC. She wants to implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission). But, due to the continuous protests, there is pressure on the government to do something different for the employees. The government can increase the fitment factor by 3 times. With the increase of fitment factor, the basic pay of the employees will increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 21000.

Cabinet Secretary has met

The employees union says that the government is not ignoring the demand of the employees. Rather, an alternative is being explored. The employees union has already met with the cabinet secretary. He also got assurance in the meeting. If sources are to be believed, the government is now paying more attention to the fitment factor.
