7th Pay Commission: These decisions have been made for the central employees, a direct impact on the pocket

7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Central Government Employees: DA of employees is pending with three installments. To resolve how long these pending installments will be paid, the National Council of JCM and officials of the Department of Personnel and Training and the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) are in regular contact.


7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Central Government Employees: Amidst Corona crisis, 1.5 crore central government employees have received large deals on variable DA. The government has increased the variable DA from Rs 105 to Rs 210 per month. That is, the government has doubled the variable DA. According to the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment, the increased rate of variable DA will be effective from April 1, 2021 only.

This increase will also increase the minimum salary of the employees. Both contractual or casual employees will benefit from this increased rate. According to the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment, employees of railways, mining, oil fields, ports and other central government establishments will get the benefit. The average CPI-IW of July to December 2020 was used to change the new rate.

Three installments of employees’ DA are pending (1.1.2020, 1.7.2020 and 1.1.2021). To resolve how long these pending installments will be paid, the National Council of JCM and officials of the Department of Personnel and Training and the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) are in regular contact.

Apart from this, the government has extended its deadline to take advantage of the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) Special Cash Package Scheme. Now by May 31, employees can submit a bill to take advantage of it, whereas earlier this deadline was April 30. The government has taken this decision in view of the circumstances arising after the second ghastly wave of Corona.
