Employees demanding fitment factor 3.68 times

The central employees are demanding an increase in the fitment factor from 2.57 to 3.68 times. If the government accepts this demand, then there will be a tremendous increase in the salary.

There is a possibility of 4 percent increase in dearness allowance.

Similarly, looking at the current inflation figures, it is being estimated in the media reports that the dearness allowance of central employees may increase by up to 4 percent. That is, his DA will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent. However, the final figures of inflation are yet to come.

That is, in this way, the central employees are expected to get two benefits of increase in fitment factor and dearness allowance.

Odisha government increased DA

On the other hand, the Odisha government has increased the salary of its employees in the past. The state government has increased the dearness allowance to the employees from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. It has been implemented from January 2023. This will benefit about 7.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state government.
