Aadhar card is one of the most important documents today. To take advantage of government facilities or to get any work done, you must have Aadhaar number. Whether to open an account in a bank or to take a mobile SIM card, now Aadhaar number is required. Sometimes it also happens that the information given on Aadhaar has to be updated. If you have changed your home or mobile number, then in such a situation it is necessary to update your Aadhaar. If Aadhaar is not updated, you may be deprived of many schemes or benefits.

The task of changing the information entered on Aadhaar is easy. For this, you can also work online from home. This work can be done only with the help of mobile phone or computer. However, some update tasks are difficult for which you need to visit the Aadhaar center. This work cannot be done from home without visiting the centre. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the agency of Aadhaar, has made some special rules for this. Under this rule, UIDAI has made changes in some work related to the update of Aadhaar. It is very important for you to know about these changes so that there is no problem in the future.

What did UIDAI say?

UIDAI had earlier given many facilities to the Aadhar card holders in which they could be updated without any proof. This facility was also being given regarding change in name. This made it easy for the card holder and he could do this work online. But now this service has been stopped. Now Aadhar card holders will not be able to make changes without any proof. UIDAI has given this information in a tweet.

List of 32 documents

A user had asked a question about this on the official Twitter handle of UIDAI. The user wanted to know the process of changing the address given on the Aadhar card. Responding to this, UIDAI said that without proof, the name cannot be changed. UIDAI, the agency of Aadhaar, has mentioned 32 documents which are valid for Aadhaar update. One of these documents will be required to be given for change of name. Now the name will not be changed online without giving address proof.
