Aadhaar Good Governance Portal: The government has launched the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal to simplify the authentication request process. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), it will work to make Aadhaar more user-friendly, make life easier and improve access to services for the people.

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said that Aadhaar is increasing the growth rate of the country’s digital economy. The Aadhaar Good Governance Portal has been developed to facilitate ease of submission and approval of proposals by entities as per the prescribed rules.

Will help in reliable transactions

Let us tell you that Aadhaar is the world’s most trusted digital ID. In the last decade, more than one billion Indians have expressed trust in Aadhaar. Authentication has been done through Aadhaar more than 100 billion times. The ministry says that this new change will help both the service provider and the receiver to make reliable transactions.

The portal will work as a resource guide

This portal will work as a resource guide and provide detailed SOPs for entities seeking authentication on how to apply and how to join for Aadhaar authentication. Face authentication can also be integrated into customer facing apps of private entities, which will enable authentication anytime, anywhere.

As part of its commitment to make Aadhaar people-friendly and make life easier for citizens and enable better access to services, the ministry had proposed rules to enable Aadhaar authentication by entities other than government ministries and departments. The latest amendment enables Aadhaar holders to avail hassle-free services from several sectors including hospitality, healthcare, credit rating bureaus, e-commerce players, educational institutions and aggregator service providers.
