Aadhaar Card is the identity of Indians. Aadhar card is preferred among all identity cards. This copy can be used with full validity everywhere if the Aadhaar card is damaged, lost or torn.
1. First open the official website of Aadhar Card: uidai.gov.in
2. Here on the home page, the option of ‘My Aadhaar’ will be found, click on it.
3. Many points will appear in the ‘My Aadhaar’ section, select one of these ‘Download Aadhaar’ option and click.
4. Clicking on ‘Download Aadhaar’ will open a new tab, where you will be asked to download an electronic copy of Aadhaar card i.e. digital Aadhaar card.
5. There are three options for downloading Aadhaar card, including Aadhar Number, Enrolment ID (EID) and Virtual ID (VID).
6. Select any record available to you and submit your personal ID.

7. After entering the number, click on the option of ‘Send OTP’, one time password will come on the mobile number link which is with your Aadhaar card, submit it.
8. After completing the survey given on the website, the option to download an electronic copy of the Aadhar card will come.
9. Click on ‘Verify and download’, Aadhaar card will be downloaded in PDF format.
10. Explain that this copy of Aadhaar card will be password protected, so every time you open it in your phone or laptop etc., this password will have to be entered every time.
