If you have your Aadhaar number , then you can make your future safe at home. Actually the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has introduced another method for opening an account in the National Pension System i.e. NPS Scheme. The pension regulator has today announced the entry to exit digital tool kit for NPS subscribers through online Aadhaar e-KYC. Which means that the Aadhaar card holder can now open or close an online NPS account.

PFRDA has made it much easier for NPS subscribers with the entry to exit digital tool kit provided to subscribers. Along with this the facility has made the process from entry to exit to the scheme very easy. You can also enter NPS in paperless digital mode.

PFRDA had sent a proposal through UIDAI to the Department of Revenue, Government of India to provide online e-KYC service to NPS and APY subscribers. The PFRDA proposal has been approved by the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Also, its notification has been issued on 22 December 2020.

With the recent permission given by the Department of Revenue to do online e-KYC, the account opening process can be further simplified. PFRDA has started providing various digital services like OTP based authentication, paperless onboarding, e sign based authentication, de remit, video customer identification.
