It is noteworthy that the government has told all the Aadhaar card users that they should update their 10 year old Aadhaar card. However, it has not been kept in the category of essential work. UIDAI has also said that you can update your information by visiting Myaadhaar portal. For this you will have to upload documents related to the information.

Apart from this, you can also get this work done offline. However, if a user updates Aadhaar offline by going to Aadhaar center instead of online, then he has to pay a fee of Rs 25.

Why is there a need to update Aadhaar?

It is noteworthy that Aadhaar Card is an important document for Indians, without which many government and private works cannot be completed. At the same time, if there is any old information in the Aadhaar card and it has not been updated, then your work may also get stuck. Apart from this, if Aadhaar is not updated with the latest information, the possibility of fraud may also increase. In view of this, the Central Government had asked to update the 10 year old Aadhaar card.
