Agricultural Loan Interest Waiver: Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has given a big gift to the farmers. Interest on agricultural loans has been waived. Apart from this, penalty will also not be given. This has been announced in the budget of the state government.

Agricultural Loan Interest Waiver: Farmer organizations of Punjab are standing on the borders of Haryana and they want to march to Delhi. Due to this, there is a situation of tension on Shambhu border and Khanauri border. Meanwhile, Haryana government has made a big announcement in the budget regarding farmers. While presenting the budget on Friday, the government announced that interest on agricultural loans of all the farmers of the state will be waived. Interest on loans taken till September 2023 will be waived. Apart from this, if any penalty has been imposed on anyone then that too will not have to be paid. This facility will be available till May this year. After that, whatever interest or penalty will be imposed afresh, will have to be paid.

Manohar Lal Khattar, while presenting his 5th consecutive budget, said that the state government will purchase 14 crops at MSP. Let us tell you that the biggest demand of the agitating farmers is guarantee of crop purchase at MSP. Manohar Lal Khattar also informed during the budget that we have also started a portal. On this portal, farmers can make claims online in case of crop damage. Through this, till now we have given an amount of Rs 297 crore as help.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government has also shown leniency on the farmers’ movement. There was news on Thursday that action will be taken under Rasuka against the people indulging in farmer movement violence. However, now Ambala administration says that we will not take action under this. Ambala’s ASP Pooja Dabla told about this, ‘Our higher officials have decided that at present no action will be taken against the farmers under the National Security Act. Along with this, we appeal to the farmers not to take law and order into their hands. If they maintain peace then there will be no need for any kind of strictness.

It is noteworthy that at present, Haryana Police has stopped the farmers of Punjab who had set out on the Delhi march only at Shambhu border and Khanauri border. Meanwhile, young farmer agitator Shubhakaran Singh has died on the Khanauri border. There is anger among the farmers regarding this and the Punjab government has announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore for their families.
