Seven people tragically died in the Jharkhand air ambulance crash. The plane, which crashed near Simaria in Chatra district, was heading to Delhi. The plane took off from Ranchi at 7:11 am IST, and it is reported that the pilot suspected a technical or weather-related problem as it reached an altitude of 6,000 feet.

After contacting Kolkata, the plane requested a diversion due to bad weather. Subsequently, at 7:34 pm, approximately 100 NM southeast of Varanasi, the plane lost contact with the Kolkata control room and disappeared from radar.

According to reports, the International Medical Center (IMD) had already issued an alert for lightning and bad weather in the area.

The Aviation Ministry will visit the accident site.

DC Kirtishri G. attributed the air ambulance crash to a storm. She said, “The storm caused the accident. The medical team estimated the death toll at seven. Two of these were crew members, and the remaining five were a patient and his family members. The Aviation Ministry team will visit the accident site tomorrow to identify the black box and begin further investigation.”

The AAIB (Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau) team will visit the Redbird Aviation office in Delhi today. The team can obtain documents related to the Redbird and the crashed plane.
