Amrapali case: banks will finance unfinished projects, Supreme Court asked to submit proposals by January 18

A hearing has been held in the Supreme Court on Monday in the Amrapali Projects case. The court has directed the bank association (IBA) and representative of the banks to submit their proposal to complete these incomplete projects. They have a chance to submit their proposal by 18 January.

In order to raise adequate funding and complete unfinished projects in the Amrapali case, the Supreme Court on Monday asked the representatives of the Indian Banks Association (IBA) and other banks to meet the court appointed receiver. In fact, before this, the receiver had told the court that there was not enough response from the banks to finance these Amrapali projects. After this, the court has asked the lawyers representing the banks to meet the receiver with their officials and submit their proposal by January 18. Amrapali case is being heard on every Monday. Let us know that due to hanging in the balance of these housing projects, 40,000 home buyers have not got the house even after 8 years.




Advocate Kumar Mihir, representing Amrapali home buyers, said, “The case of financing the banks Dravara Amrapali project has been pending for a long time. This problem should be resolved as soon as possible. The Supreme Court aware of the case is constantly asking banks to prepare their proposal. In this case, information has also been given to the Reserve Bank of India. Once this issue is resolved, then these Amrapali projects can be easily delivered on time.

The Supreme Court has asked the receiver to read the answers given to the promoter Anil Kumar Sharma Dvara and submit his report regarding the fund diversion within three weeks. The matter will be heard in the first week of February.

The NBCC, the government’s construction unit, is handling the incomplete projects. NBCC told the court that a new circular has also been issued regarding RK Aggarwal as an expert. If RK Aggarwal applies then he can be appointed as Principal Expert for NBCC. The court will take the matter on January 11, the day of the next hearing. Aggarwal is the senior director of NBCC and he was looking after the construction of Amrapali projects. Now he has retired.
