Annual Fastag Toll Pass: There is good news for those waiting for the toll pass of Rs 3000. The link for this scheme starting from August 15 will be open from August 4. Through this, the annual Fastag toll pass can be recharged. Giving this information, an official of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that for this, the link will be made available on the Rajmargyatra mobile application and NHAI website from August 4.
Under this scheme, there will be no need to pay separate fees at 200 toll plazas within a year for Rs 3000. People interested in taking this annual pass will be able to recharge it on their existing Fastag. The annual toll pass system was announced last month by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. In which it was announced that it will be implemented across the country from August 15.
Review meeting held regarding the scheme
Sources said that a review meeting was also held for this two days ago. In this, all its aspects were considered and how it will be implemented. A detailed review was done on all these points. In this, along with correcting some things, it was decided that the link for this will be opened from August 4. So that from August 15, people taking the facility of annual toll pass can start recharging it in their respective Fastag.
30 banks included
Currently 30 banks have been included for this service. At the time of announcement, it was also told that this toll pass will be valid only at the toll nakas of NHAI’s National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE). Once recharged for Rs 3000, its duration will be valid for one year. During this time, the user will be able to use it to cross a maximum of 200 toll nakas.
How will the new toll pass scheme work
Under the annual Fastag toll pass scheme, you will have to recharge Rs 3000 separately in your already running FASTag. Keep in mind that your Fastag should not be blacklisted and its e-KYC must be done. If this is not done, either the recharge will not happen and even if recharged, it will not work. After recharging Rs 3000 once, from August 15, 2025, you will not have to pay separate fees at 200 toll nakas for a year.
Where will the Rs 3000 pass be valid
The Rs 3000 toll pass will be valid only on National Highways (NHAI) and National Expressways (NE). At toll booths run by states or private companies, you will have to pay toll tax through Fastag as before.
How will it be recharged?
The annual Fastag toll pass will not be recharged through UPI or net banking right now. For this, you will have to go to the link that will be activated from August 4 on the NHAI website or the Rajway Yatra mobile app. Apart from this, if you receive any phone call or message, do not fall for it.
