According to the Henley Passport Index 2025 report, the Pakistani passport is one of the weakest passports in the world, allowing visa-free travel to only 32 countries. However, Pakistan’s ranking has improved slightly and it is now ranked 96th. Countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Somalia are also included in this list.
Citizens of every country in the world get different visa facilities for foreign travel. Henley Passport Index releases a report on these facilities, which tells how strong the passport of which country is.
In this report, the more places one can visit without a visa, the stronger the passport is considered. According to the 2025 report, Pakistan’s passport has been included in the world’s weakest passports.
Which countries include Pakistan in the list?
Only 32 countries can be traveled to without a visa with Pakistan’s passport. However, Pakistan’s ranking has improved a bit and now it has come to 96th place.
It has been told in this report that Pakistan’s situation is definitely better than some countries, which include countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Somalia where the situation is very bad.
Pakistan’s passport was the fourth weakest in 2024
In the 2024 report, Pakistan’s passport was listed as the fourth weakest passport along with Yemen. In 2025, it has come up a little, but the situation is still worrying.
This index analyzes the travel facilities of 199 passports and 227 countries. It looks at how many countries can be visited on a passport without visa, visa on arrival, e-visa or travel permit.
Good news for India
There is good news for India in this report. India has jumped 8 places in the last 6 months and the Indian passport which was ranked 85th in the 2024 report has now reached 77th place.
On the other hand, countries like America and Britain are slowly coming down. America is now ranked 10th and Britain is at 6th. A few years ago, both these countries used to be at the top. In 2014, America was on top and in 2015, Britain took the first position.
