Ardh Movie: ZEE5, India’s largest domestic OTT platform and storyteller for one billion Indians, today announced an exclusive AVOD direct-to-digital and free-to-stream movie title, ‘Ardh’. Rajpal Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Hiten Tejwani and Kulbhushan Kharbanda starrer Ardh is a ZEE5 exclusive film which will premiere on June 10. The film is produced by Pal Music and Films. Palash Muchhal has written and directed this film. Rubina Dilaik has made her debut in films with this film, while on the other hand Rajpal Yadav has been introduced in the film in a never seen before avatar.
As shown in the film’s trailer, the story showcases how a small town boy, Shiva (Rajpal Yadav) struggles to become an actor in the city of dreams, Mumbai, despite being a great theater actor. So now to live, eat and earn in the city, he pretends to be a transgender (Parvati) with the help of his wife (Rubina Dilaik) and asks for money on local trains and signals in Mumbai. It is the story of a dreamer in Dream City who sets out to find out whether he will be able to fulfill his dreams, or if his dreams are crushed amidst the fast-paced life of Mumbai.
The voice-over of this film is done by popular and veteran actor Jackie Shroff and the songs are sung by Sonu Nigam, Armaan Malik, Palak Muchhal, Rekha Bhardwaj, Rubina Dilaik, Divya Kumar, Parry Ji and Amit Mishra. There are a total of 6 songs in this film, which have been composed by Palash Muchhal, the writer and director of the film.
