ATM News: If money is not withdrawn while withdrawing money from ATM, then the bank will give 100 rupees every day, know what are the rules

You go to withdraw money from the bank ATM and many times the money is deducted from the account, but the money does not come out. By the way, it is said that even without any complaint, the bank returns that money to the account in a few days. In such a situation, people get upset that they have been harmed. According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank, if the money is not withdrawn from the ATM, the money will be transferred back to your account between three to seven days. If it doesn’t, you can complain. If your complaint is not acted upon even after complaining, then the bank has to give it back to you.

Banks have to pay Rs 100 per day to customers for delay beyond 7 working days of receipt of complaint. It has to be credited to the customer’s account without the customer’s claim. Any customer shall be entitled to such compensation for delay provided he/she makes a claim with the issuing bank within 30 days of the transaction.

1) If cash is not withdrawn from ATM, immediately file a complaint on phone banking.

2) According to RBI, the money will be automatically transferred back to your account between three to seven days if the money is not withdrawn from the ATM and deducted from the bank account. For more time than this, 100 rupees have to be paid per day.




3) Customers can approach the bank branch and complain about it.

4) In case of non-receipt of reply from the bank, the customer can lodge his complaint with the Banking Ombudsman.
