Attention Voters! Voter ID card can be kept in the phone like Aadhaar, download like this

On the occasion of ‘National Voters’ Day’ on 25th in the month of January this year, the Election Commission of the country had started a new service for the voters. Under this service called Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card (e-EPIC), you can keep your ID card in e-format on the phone just like Aadhar card. That is, as you go to the UIDAI site and download the Aadhar card in the e-format.

In the same way, now you can also save your Voter ID card in the phone and get it printed or use it if needed. If you want, you can also keep your e-ID card safe in DigiLocker. All you have to do is to visit the website of the Election Commission and follow the given steps to download your e-ID card. Your work will be done. Follow these steps to download your ID card.

First of all, you have to either visit the Voter Portal of Election Commission website (https://voterportal.eci.gov.in) or National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) home page (https://www.nvsp.in/Account/ Login) to go to.

Now if you have already created an account then login with your id and password. If you are opening this site for the first time then you have to register first through your mobile number or mail id. As soon as the home page opens, you will see both the options. Login and Register as a new user, you can choose either of the two (whichever is correct according to you) option.

As soon as you login by entering the ID password, then here you will see the option of e-EPIC. After this, by entering your ID card number or mobile number here, you can download the voter ID card in PDF format. A QR code also comes with the PDF file. By scanning it, complete details of Voter ID can be seen.

Keep in mind- To download your digital voter ID card, your mobile number must be registered on the website of the Election Commission. If this is not the case then you will not be able to download your e-ID card. If your mobile number is not registered with the Election Commission, then first you have to get it registered. You can do this process online by visiting the website of the Election Commission. If you want to download digital voter ID card through the app, then download the Election Commission’s Voter Helpline app from play store and generate it by the above mentioned steps.
