Azadpur Metro Station Triple Interchange facility very soon

There is going to be a big change on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. Triple Interchange will be made at Azadpur Metro Station. Azadpur will be the second metro station after Kashmere Gate metro station with triple interchange facility.

Delhi: Thousands of people travel daily from Delhi Metro. Many passengers take longer to reach home because not all stations have interchange facilities. Due to this, first the passengers have to go ahead and then change the metro line from the interchange station to go home. Now DMRC (DMRC) has decided that interchange facility will be started at Azadpur station.

Triple interchange will be made at Azadpur station

The facility of triple interchange is going to start at Azadpur Metro station on Yellow Line of Delhi Metro. This will be the second interchange of Delhi Metro with this interchange. So far, there is a triple interchange at the Kashmiri Gate metro station on the Yellow Line itself, from where the Red and Violet lines also pass. Apart from Yellow, Pink Line also passes through Azadpur station and now there will also be an interchange of RK Ashram-Janakpuri West Corridor.

People of these areas will benefit

With the formation of RK Ashram-Janakpuri West Corridor interchange at Azadpur station, this line will directly connect areas like Sadar Bazar, Pulbangash, Ghanta Ghar and Derawal Nagar. All these areas are crowded. Especially Sadar Bazar and Ghantaghar area are very crowded. Areas like Pitampura, Mangolpuri, Madhuban Chowk, Piragadhi and Janakpuri in north-west Delhi will also be interlinked. The Yellow Line station is elevated in Azadpur and the Pink Line station is under ground.

Distance will be short, time will also be saved

The RK Ashram-Janakpuri West corridor will be a total of 28.92 km. The start of this corridor will directly benefit about 30 thousand passengers. Right now about 15 thousand passengers pass through Azadpur metro station. When the corridor starts, the distance to people’s home will be reduced and precious time will also be saved.
